Hey there! Exciting news: there's a new free, open-source font available!

I've been part of the punk scene since the end of 1976, when I was a 16-year-old kid grappling with pimples and various issues. Back then, I truly believed I was contributing to a better world. Most of the punks I encountered were older, but they always exuded friendliness and energy. Over the years, my punk friends have become an integral part of my life, and they remain so to this day.

At 65, I've not stopped rocking. I still play guitar in a punk band with friends from that early punk era. (You can find us on all streaming platforms under the name "De Fuckups.")

Inspired by punk elements and aesthetics, I set out to create a font that embodies the same rebellious spirit of the subculture. It's unpredictable; your words might get a bit twisted, and your cursor could wander off!

I believe I managed to capture the essence of punk in the form of this font.

Along with the font, there's a little booklet (as seen in the pictures here) that explains all the parts and samples.

Just like me, the font itself is a bit on the heavier side, boasting nearly 600 glyphs with a file size of approximately 3.74 MB. Many of these glyphs are visually bold. To add a touch of chaos, I've coded in some whimsical ligatures that you'll just have to discover on your own.

I'd love to hear your thoughts! Creating this font was an incredibly fun experience. I did have moments where I thought it seemed quite childish, but I soon realized there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.
